Shifting to an Innovation Economy to Keep the Good Times Rolling

Changing the nature of the East Texas economy, heavily dependent upon service, retail and old line manufacturing, requires both the depth and breadth of perspective to address a range of complex considerations from the current market climate to positive and negative trends that affect growth.  The research team began by analyzing existing city, county and regional data, including socio-economic factors, population projections, demographics, quality of life indicators and consumer spending patterns.  It also conducted an industry trends analysis to project demand for economic and community development initiatives resulting in the decision to target and promote the biosciences.  Tripp Umbach partnered with the communications firm, Boyette Levy, to develop a comprehensive marketing plan that prioritized strategies and tactics, set performance metrics and made recommendations for implementation.
