Maximizing ROI in Intercollegiate Sports Programs
With the recent approval of a new state-of-the-art football stadium on the Florida International University campus, the university contracted with Tripp Umbach to provide market research, marketing planning and financial analysis services that would ramp up the Division One Intercollegiate Sports Program and increase revenue. Working closely with the university’s sports management, marketing and administration, Tripp Umbach’s market researchers and analysts undertook a broad assessment of the regional landscape to find opportunities to leverage the new facility and Division I-A football in South Florida and beyond. The consulting engagement resulted in recommendations to FIU ranging from naming rights to corporate sponsorships designed to maximize the return on investment both short term and long term.
