Kenneth Schott, Principal

Ken’s experience as a high school wrestler figures heavily into his work ethic.  Working hard, paying attention to detail and persevering are the kind of character traits that have allowed him to excel in his role managing multi-faceted market research projects.  Since joining Tripp Umbach, Ken has completed market feasibility and economic development research analysis for commercial and private developers, higher education institutions, health care organizations and governments.  He has also completed community health assessments in more than 25 different communities.

A graduate of Leadership Washington County, a program that develops community leaders to serve on non-profit boards, Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in business management with a minor in political science from Grove City College and a master’s degree in business administration from Waynesburg University.

Favorite Quote:
“Ability is what you’re capable of doing.  Motivation determines what you do.  Attitude determines how well you do it.” - Lou Holtz

Why I love TU:
I work at Tripp Umbach because I love the people I work with.  TU is truly a “family” company and it shows every time I walk into the office.

Who I admire:
“I admire my father the most because of his career as a Lutheran minister.  He preaches God’s word on Sunday and then sets the example through his actions which requires a lot of personal sacrifice and discipline.”

How I spend my weekends:
You can typically find me at a Pittsburgh sporting event, attending a concert at the Post-Gazette Pavilion or Heinz Hall, or relaxing with my family.
