Grammy’s House Haven of Hope
Building a Path Toward Stability and Independence for Women and Children

The Challenge
Grammy’s House, a trusted domestic violence shelter in Artesia, New Mexico, sought to expand its mission by developing Haven of Hope—a transitional housing facility designed to provide stability, safety, and supportive services for women and children in crisis. To move forward responsibly, the organization needed to understand whether the community had the demand, resources, and long-term capacity to sustain such a facility and ensure meaningful outcomes for the families it serves.
How We Helped
Tripp Umbach partnered with Grammy’s House to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study for the proposed Haven of Hope facility. The process included in-depth interviews, focus groups, and environmental analysis to assess both opportunities and potential challenges. By capturing and evaluating community needs and operational considerations, Tripp Umbach provided a clear, data-informed foundation for decision-making and future planning.
The Impact
Tripp Umbach’s analysis confirmed that establishing Haven of Hope in Artesia is both feasible and well-aligned with community needs. The study reinforced the value of expanding transitional housing options, ensuring women and families in crisis can access stability, safety, and resources that foster long-term independence—ultimately enhancing the well-being and resilience of the broader community.
