Cure 4 The Kids Foundation
Expanding Pediatric Care and Economic Opportunity in Southern Nevada

The Challenge
The Cure 4 The Kids Foundation (C4K) sought to better understand its current impact on the state of Nevada and evaluate the feasibility of establishing a pediatric bone marrow transplant (BMT) program in Las Vegas. Bone marrow transplantation is a lifesaving treatment for children with cancer, blood disorders, and immune deficiencies—but remains one of the most resource-intensive and costly procedures in medicine. At the time of the study, families in Southern Nevada were forced to travel out of state for this critical care, creating both financial and emotional strain.
How We Helped
Tripp Umbach was engaged to assess C4K’s economic and social contributions, determine the viability of a pediatric BMT program, and project its financial and regional impact. The analysis combined economic modeling with healthcare market research to quantify demand, revenue potential, and the broader effects on Nevada’s healthcare ecosystem. The findings provided C4K leadership with a data-driven roadmap for program development, investment justification, and stakeholder engagement.
The Impact
In 2024, C4K generated $141.9 million in economic impact, supported 606 jobs, and delivered care to 7,534 pediatric patients across Southern Nevada. The foundation’s programs—ranging from charity care and rare disease advocacy to arts in medicine—continue to strengthen Nevada’s healthcare infrastructure and community well-being. A proposed pediatric BMT program could generate an additional $52.7 million in annual economic impact, with projected revenue of $24 million from approximately 30 procedures per year. Together, these initiatives position C4K as a driving force for pediatric innovation, health equity, and regional growth.
